My mission is to help NATO officers communicate with clarity and authority in English, so they can focus on decisions - not language - in multinational environments.
CLEAR COMMAND
Make your English match your leadership.
Private asynchronous communication coaching for NATO officers who need to lead, brief and communicate in English at the level their rank demands.
You don’t need another English lesson.
You need to be able to think clearly, speak clearly and write clearly when the stakes are real.
No weekly lessons. No classroom. No generic exercises.
Bring me the communication you’re actually dealing with.
I’ll help you make it clearer, sharper and more authoritative.

Private voice coaching · Carbon Voice · Personal feedback · No scheduled calls
Your communication is the training ground.
The moment you most need help with your English is rarely when you’re sitting in an English lesson.
It’s usually:
The night before a briefing.
Ten minutes before a meeting.
When you’re writing an email to an international headquarters.
When your commander asks you a question you weren’t expecting.
When you know exactly what you want to say in your own language — but can’t quite make it work in English.
That’s when Clear Command becomes useful.
You send me the real problem.
I help you solve it.
Then you use it.
Stop scheduling your English improvement.
Start improving the English you’re actually using.
Traditional English coaching asks you to wait for the lesson.
Clear Command works differently.
Your communication problems don’t arrive on Tuesday at 10:00.
So why should your coaching?
THE OLD WAY
You:
Book a weekly lesson
Wait for your appointment
Follow someone else’s lesson plan
Practise hypothetical situations
Discuss generic topics
Receive corrections
Go back to work
Encounter the real communication problem later
One hour of English.
Then six days without feedback.
THE CLEAR COMMAND WAY
08:17
You have a briefing tomorrow.
You record a 90-second voice message.
09:03
I listen.
I identify the problem.
I explain what I’d change.
I give you a better structure.
09:18
You send me the revised version.
10:02
You have your briefing.
And you’re not simply using better English.
You’re communicating better.
The Clear Command Method
Five steps to communication that gets understood.
Most communication problems aren’t really English problems.
They’re thinking problems that become visible through English.
Clear Command gives you a simple system for fixing both.
01 — AIM
What are you trying to achieve?
Before you write or speak, define the outcome.
What do you want your audience to know, decide or do?
02 — ORDER
What does your audience need to hear first?
Put the important information where it belongs.
Bottom line first.
Then the information that supports it.
03 — CLARIFY
What could be misunderstood?
Remove ambiguity.
Choose the simplest language that accurately communicates your meaning.
Don’t make your English impressive.
Make your meaning unmistakable.
04 — COMMAND
What do you want your audience to do?
A briefing isn’t finished because you’ve delivered the information.
Communication creates action.
Make the decision, recommendation, task or next step explicit.
05 — REVIEW
Did it work?
Did they understand?
Did they make the decision?
Did they take the action?
If not, don’t simply blame your English.
Review the communication.
Then improve it.
One framework. Every military communication.
Clear Command isn’t another vocabulary course.
The same five steps can be applied to:
Briefings
Orders
SITREPs
Emails
Presentations
Mission statements
Meetings
Negotiations
Difficult conversations
Staff work
Commander’s updates
The objective is always the same:
Make your English match your leadership.
How Clear Command works
Three steps. No meetings required.
01 — RECORD
Open Carbon Voice.
Record the real communication problem you’re dealing with.
It might be 30 seconds.
It might be three minutes.
Don’t prepare a presentation for me.
Just tell me what’s going on.
02 — SEND
Send me your:
draft email
briefing
voice recording
presentation
order
question
difficult communication
or simply the problem you’re trying to solve
Your work becomes the classroom.
03 — APPLY
I’ll respond with personalised feedback.
I’ll show you:
What isn’t working.
Why it isn’t working.
How I’d change it.
The Clear Command principle behind the change.
Then you use it in the real world.
That’s the important part.
You don’t practise communication so you can communicate better later.
You practise by communicating better now.
What can you send me?
“Here’s the briefing I’m giving tomorrow.”
I’ll help you structure it.
“Here’s the email I need to send to my commander.”
I’ll help you make it concise and authoritative.
“Here’s what I want to say in the meeting.”
We’ll turn your thoughts into clear English.
“I recorded my briefing. What sounds wrong?”
I’ll identify the communication problems.
“I know exactly what I mean, but I can’t express it properly in English.”
We’ll work from the meaning backwards.
“Nobody seemed to understand my point.”
We’ll review what happened.
This is not English homework.
This is your actual job.
Who Clear Command is for
You’ll thrive here if…
✓ You’re a NATO officer working regularly in English.
✓ You’re already reasonably proficient in English.
✓ You’re technically capable of doing your job in English — but your communication doesn’t always reflect your real level of leadership.
✓ You want to become clearer, more concise and more authoritative.
✓ You are willing to work on real communication rather than artificial exercises.
✓ You want feedback that you can immediately apply.
✓ You want to become increasingly independent.
Who Clear Command isn’t for
This probably isn’t the right solution if…
✕ You need beginner English instruction.
✕ You want traditional weekly English lessons.
✕ You want grammar worksheets and vocabulary lists.
✕ You’re looking for general conversational English.
✕ You want someone to simply rewrite everything for you.
✕ You’re preparing for a general English exam.
✕ You need someone to sit beside you in a classroom every week.
Clear Command isn’t about making you dependent on an English teacher.
It’s about making you more capable of commanding in English without one.
The person behind Clear Command
I’ve been on both sides of the communication problem.
I spent seven years as a British Army officer.
I’ve taught English to French military personnel.
I’ve worked with professionals who need to communicate across languages, cultures and organisations.
And I’ve seen a frustrating problem repeatedly:
The officer is capable of operating at one level — but their English makes them appear to operate at another.
That’s not a vocabulary problem.
It’s not necessarily a grammar problem.
And it certainly isn’t a problem of intelligence or leadership ability.
It’s a communication gap.
Clear Command exists to close it.
Your rank shouldn’t sound smaller in English than it does in your own language.

One important distinction
This isn’t “English coaching by WhatsApp.”
The technology isn’t the product.
Carbon Voice is simply the communication channel.
The product is:
Better military communication.
The method is:
Aim → Order → Clarify → Command → Review.
The delivery is:
Private asynchronous coaching.
And the outcome is:
English that allows your leadership to come through.
Frequently asked questions
Is this an English course?
No.
Clear Command focuses on the English you use to lead, brief, write and communicate professionally.
The emphasis is on communication rather than studying English for its own sake.
Do we have weekly Zoom calls?
No.
The programme is designed around asynchronous coaching so you can work on communication when you actually need it.
How does asynchronous coaching work?
You send me a voice message, document, briefing or other piece of communication.
I listen or review it and send you personalised feedback, usually as a voice response.
You can then apply the feedback immediately.
How quickly will you respond?
The goal is to respond within one working day, often sooner.
The principle is simple:
You shouldn’t have to wait until your next lesson to fix something you’re using tomorrow.
Do I need to be fluent in English?
You need enough English to work professionally in an English-speaking or multinational military environment.
Clear Command is designed primarily for officers who are already functional in English but want their communication to become clearer, more authoritative and more precise.
Is this STANAG 6001 preparation?
Clear Command is not a STANAG 6001 preparation course.
It is focused on operational military communication and leadership in English.
Some of the skills will naturally support your broader professional English development, but the objective is different.
Can you just rewrite my emails for me?
I can help you improve them, but that’s not the goal.
The goal is for you to understand why the communication works — so you become increasingly capable of doing it yourself.
Ready?
You don’t need to fill out a long application.
You don’t need to book a discovery call.
You don’t need to prepare anything.
Start with one real communication problem.
Record a voice message.
Tell me:
What are you trying to communicate?
Who are you communicating with?
What’s difficult about it?
I’ll show you where I’d start.
Make your English match your leadership.
